On Friday, it was announced via Twitter that the movie’s male lead and director, Bradley Cooper, will be performing on stage at the Oscars 2019 alongside the film’s star, Lady Gaga. So plan your night accordingly.
Taking place on February 24, Cooper and Lady Gaga will sing their hit song “Shallow” live on stage—and it’s likely to be just as magical as when they recently performed it in Vegas during Gaga’s ENIGMA residency. As “Shallow” is nominated in the Best Original Song category, viewers will likely be tuning in to find out if A Star Is Born wins even more accolades.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tweeted the news with a teaser caption: “Cooper. Gaga. ‘Shallow.’ #Oscars.”
Surprising fans in attendance at Lady Gaga’s Vegas show last month, Cooper jumped up on stage to perform a live rendition of “Shallow,” and fans understandably went wild. Not only was the chemistry between the co-stars unreal, but their vocals were also on point. If their previous performance is anything to go by, they’re about to bring the house down at the 2019 Oscars:
Cooper and Gaga’s performance news comes after the announcement that three other Best Original Song nominees will also be performed: “I’ll Fight” from RBG, “The Place Where Lost Things Go” from Mary Poppins Returns, and “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
